Darkness in light

The Diwali illuminations with lighted diyas bring the supernatural brightness and joy with the hope of finding light in darkness, achieving knowledge where there is ignorance, and spreading love amidst hatred. Diwali is also known as the Festival of Lights. Light is significant in Hinduism because it signifies goodness. So, during the Festival of Lights, 'deeps' are burned throughout the day and into the night to ward off darkness and evil. Today we have innovated and have decorative electrical lights that are imported from china to light up the festive season it’s cheap & fancy. Ranging from rs 30- 1500 one can find it on the roads side vendor, nearest mall or just a click on online mart.

The festival of lights puts a noticeably serious load on electrical energy sources that are already stuffed. The use of electric lights to decorate homes, business establishments, monuments and roads requires a huge amount of electricity. The older tradition of burning oil lamps is a possible alternative to electric lights - even though it does use oil, the duration of the lamps is shorter.

The huge question is can we control our desires, can we stop the mad race of consumerism. It is just a matter of modification of practice and stick on to the simple ethics of environmental concerns. The choice is limited and we have to put the brakes on it now if we like to gift the space we live in to our posterity. In a power-starved country, can we afford such huge amount of electrical consumption? This senseless consumption of electricity has huge impact on global warming and to be checked. However, these are issues of serious concern, and have to be addressed with top priority. There is an urgent need to reinterpret the rituals and traditions of the country to become more sensitive to the environment.

You must be thinking what I got to do with all this stuff, but now it’s been more than two weeks that saw this tiny lights still sparkling all over Mumbai. Its lightning up the metro’s putting the rural in darkness, so it kills the main objective of diwali .i.e. achieving knowledge. Today there’s a need to take up initiative on such issues because other are suffering from loadshedding who can’t put up their voice against such issues and tomorrow we will be suffering from it if we don’t stop it today.

All I want you to do is use this light for special occasion and use for specific days (Max three day’s please). ya do request your neighbors’ to do the same  and aware them ,at least we  can try to curb down the heavy load.

But you're here; you're reading this, so you're the kind of person willing to make some modest changes. So good for you! If you're serious about saving energy, then there's no better place to find out about it than Google. And the time is right, too. I know we can make a difference. When we try.

Don't we all??

I was parked in front of the mall wiping off my car. I had just come from the car wash and was waiting for my wife to get out of work. Coming my way from across the parking lot was what society would consider a bum. From the looks of him, he had no car, no home, no clean clothes, and no money. There are times when you feel generous but there are other times that you just don't want to be bothered. This was one of those "don't want to be bothered times." "I hope he doesn't ask me for any money," I thought. He didn't.

He came and sat on the curb in front of the bus stop but he didn't look like he could have enough money to even ride the bus. After a few minutes he spoke."That's a very pretty car," he said. He was ragged but he had an air of dignity around him. His scraggly blond beard keep more than his face warm. I said, "thanks," and continued wiping off my car.He sat there quietly as I worked. The expected plea for money never came. As the silence between us widened something inside said, "ask him if he needs any help." I was sure that he would say "yes" but I held true to the inner voice. "Do you need any help?" I asked. He answered in three simple but profound words that I shall never forget.

We often look for wisdom in great men and women. We expect it from those of higher learning and accomplishments.I expected nothing but an outstretched grimy hand. He spoke the three words that shook me.
"Don't we all?" he said.
I was feeling high and mighty, successful and important, above a bum in the street, until those three words hit me like a twelve gauge shotgun.
Don't we all?
I needed help. Maybe not for bus fare or a place to sleep, but I
needed help. I reached in my wallet and gave him not only enough for bus fare, but enough to get a warm meal and shelter for the day. Those three little words still ring true. No matter how much you have, no matter how much you have accomplished, you need help too. No matter how little you have, no matter how loaded you are with problems, even without money or a place to sleep, you can give help.

Even if it's just a compliment, you can give that.
You never know when you may see someone that appears to have it all. They are waiting on you to give them what they don't have. A different perspective on life, a glimpse at something beautiful, a respite from daily chaos, that only you through a torn world can see.

Maybe the man was just a homeless stranger wandering the streets.Maybe he was more than that.Maybe he was sent by a power that is great and wise, to minister to a soul too comfortable in themselves.

Maybe God looked down, called an Angel, dressed him like a bum, then said,"go minister to that man cleaning the car, that man needs help."

Don't we all?

Most unforgettable moments of any one's life are the college days.

Most unforgettable moments of any one's life are the college days. The delightful time starts when you know lots of new stuff, friendship with new people, makes love and other dissimilar things that are not associated with studies. The collective lives, the food, and the entertaining experience of living in dorms on campus with thousands of other people our age truly can't be beat, and the new personality of it all makes it even more thrilling as we live through these days.

Everyone knows this pain; the day when we are coming in college & the day when we are leaving our college. But maintaining quality long-term friendships is difficult today because people progress often and there are many technological and media disturbance. The geographic and personal space between people continues to grow, and there are some hurtful effects for those who lack quality relationships. Friends are essential because they provide emotional strength in a person's life. Making friends is like managing a bank account. You must make investments, and it is never too early to start.

Yet, for some motive there are people who seem to not appreciate this fact and will frequently invade another person’s space without any consideration. The reasons someone will invade personal space would be. Someone has accidentally invaded their space, another person has purposely invaded their space, or the person who feels like their space was invaded has too large of a personal fizz. While each is caused by a different reason, the fact is having your space invaded is painful and is something people can find hard to deal with properly.

However, the truth is that if you understand what happens when your space is invaded, the better off you are in resolving the situation. For this reason it is a good idea to closely look at the reasons you feel you space has been invaded and how to best deal with those situations. In the end, there is no doubt that personal space is extremely important to us. But, by understanding ourselves and others we can begin to limit the conflicts that are often caused when we feel our spaces are threatened.

We always seem to have people that have given lip service to being a friend. But many times, I have been influenced that they are not. I have found that most people who have pretended to be as friends have shown their true colors when the chips were down. I hear people tell me all the time, I have lots of friends. But the fact is I have a few that are near and dear to me, still I’m forced to say that the most unforgettable moments of any one's life are the college days.

Did I missed that breaking news

Ahh Indian media is changing, ya its true there’s no denying on the issue. when you switch on the idiot box and surf for news with your tool (remote). I mean one will be full of chaos that which channel is for news and for entertainment. But the only stuff that gone help you is the logo of the channel, otherwise it would have been a serious issue. I’m saying this because all Indian news channels have been 24X7 showing clippings of entertainment soaps and updating it viewers. They not only confined to the updates, but showing even whole episodes of some comedy shows or reality shows.

One of the leading channels yesterday showed Salman Khan promoting his upcoming film “Dabaang” at some engineering college in jaipur. The episode was issued as ‘Breaking news’ as salman requested for off for the student next day and during the promotion some of the faculty members and principal danced to the beats of salman. Now let it be  the news about Big B blog on metro rail development destroying his privacy. So you must be getting what I’m trying to focus the media today is just creating hype on some senseless issues and still we are helpless to switch off or change the channel.

Journalism was known for its ethic and journalist as a Nobel professional. Today journalists basically find actual new stories in Morgue because now we don’t find news on news channels. The channels are focused on raising advertisement fund so u get 4 hours of add free free on it. The only change that  can still take place is the start of screening of Movies on news channel.  This would not amaze me as I know it would be possible soon. One can only find news in broadsheet even I do the same, read  newspaper for my daily scope of news. But isn’t it sad to see our country suffering from such nuisance. Today we are developing in all stream so why the medium of communication getting into such shame. The media should think in the public interest and not in self -interest.

The meaning of news “A report of recent occurences; information of something that has lately taken place, or of something before unknown; fresh tindings; recent intelligence.

Hope my thoughts reach to right people and at least some would think on such issues because common man is suffering and irritated with the current scenario of the media.

Mirchiwadi - A Struggle overlooked!!

“Mirchiwadi” a tribal village about 2-3km from Ambernath that I visited with my group as a part of our project work (Making a News Feature). It’s really not easy to get there, but if you get their it not easy to stay there for more 20-30 min as it feels like you are in an awkward situation and you want to get out as soon as possible. Our group consisted of Rasika, Naziya, Mamta, barkha & me with one localite who guided us to the location. Rasika was the one who had the concept of making aware that masses of Mumbai and Ambernath about the current situation of Mirchiwadi. She is the one in the group that wants to help people in need, that’s not all whenever she finds a child beggar on stations she always give money or food or anything that can help. It’s in the family one can say who knew Molly Madam (rasika’s Mom), she is really a kind person with helpful nature and a popular Badlapur’ite.
The basic information that we received was that there was no electricity in Mirchiwadi since independence, but when we reached the place I saw a dish Tv antenna on one of the roof. We all were amazed by it, after an interrogation with localites it was all clear. The new development at the place was street light that was a gift thanks to last elections and so people started illegal development  i.e. theft of electricity. They were soon fined for it by the government officials. As we had girls in our team they were all scared on location as localities like this where not visited by them before. They don’t have gender bias for drinking at mirchiwadi, the tribe were high and scared my team mates specially barkha & mamta you should have seen their faces during the encounter with the old lady and an sense less old man.
The condition of Mirchiwadi is worst than before as now it has electricity, medical facilities and a school but it’s not administered nor utilized. Katkaris who reside here have lived on hand to mouth basis, mainly due to lack of basic infrastructure development. The male members of the family work in brick kilns, the women pick recyclable garbage from dumping grounds in the vicinity. The children on the other hand while away their time playing. Absence of school in the neighborhood and lack of determination on the part of their parents leaves no choice for children but to roam around aimlessly until they adapt to work as their parents did. The wadi has a school of its own, by the efforts of Gyan Sagar Educational and Social Organisation, but only in its early days of setup it had a teacher and was closed in just 6 month of functioning due to lack of a teacher.
Rajesh Jagtap, a journalist who went in search of a story at wadi, but after observing the condition resolved to help the people of Mirchiwadi. He made regular visit to the place and the conditions was improving but soon came the cooperators who indulged in cheap political games and so rajesh stopped his visits.”I tried helping them, but I don’t want to get into cheap politics and I’m tired of such irritating politicians that use this people as vote banks”. Today the condition is worst than before as they are unemployed, basic ammonites like water, electricity and road is not to their reach.
The resident of Mirchiwadi are illiterate and so don’t know much beyond the cooperators. Today what they need is a legal aid with the support of youth who can bring a change. As it shame on our part that Mirchiwadi being a part of Ambernath Municipal Council (AMC) is being neglected. Our media and government still not taking this issue seriously.  We made the feature news on mirchiwadi because we felt we can and we will make a difference!!!!

Trust is what one need!!!

Every relation today needs trust! I have seen enough, one can say if they put themselves in my shoes. No no its not that I have been into many relation and learned something at the end of each, the fact is that I have not been into any relationship yet. But still observed many around me and so I can say that trust is what one need if they want a successful relationship. The ingredient of power in a romantic relationship is a dangerous thing, and causes many affiliation problems. It is widely experienced by both sexes. A relationship which truly comes from the heart cannot survive the control issues and it tears away at trust. How can one expect his partners to trust one another when he is trying to control the other? It's an effort to control something that one doesn't find lovable at all. The control is the stuff that always ends in “Break UP” because after all we are human beings packed with emotions.
I think that people who suffer from such situation should give sometime to themselves instead of being high on emotion and remembering the past that shattered them. I know it’s not that easy to do so, but one has to focus on the present than the past that went by breaking one’s trust that cannot be structure overnight. Trust has the power to hurt when one is in relation, when an important person violates a trust and harms the other in the process, trust doesn't just shrink back to the prior stage it goes away entirely.
Rumors an important element that breaks the trust, under different conditions, rumor can cause serious trust issues. Many relations have been broken up by false accusations. I know one boy who used trust issues to destroy a relation so he could have the girl it worked. Well, it isn't easy! Trust grows slowly and, if broken, heals more slowly. Relationship trust issues are complex and painful. With patience and love, though, it's usually possible to overcome distrust and grow a healthy, long-term relationship. Just imagine the day you can finally rest in each other's trust, fully able to be yourselves, knowing you're just the person the other one wants to be with.
If you really want to lesson problems in your relationship and build trust with your partner then let go of a need to control and find ways to be supportive of one another. The Day you get trust you’ll get Happiness in life!!!

scribbling on notes.....Think again!!!

Indian growing economy is focusing on a new campaign for designing a symbol for Indian Rupee. Just like US dollar ($) or Pound (£), the symbol would reflect the Indian Economic Growth presence in global market. The symbol should be as simple as Rs. Common Man of India is not a designer and he can’t design the symbol whenever writing an amount in Indian Currency. Government has even announced that the designer who will provide the best suitable design for Indian Currency will be awarded with 2.5 Lakhs INR. One can vote for the best suitable currency on Times Of India website where they have collected some samples from visitors.

But what is BUZZING me is wherever I go; I find new information that comes free with every note let it be of any value. I dono why the hell people use currency as waste paper, Though the clean note policy of Reserve Bank of India and Banking Regulation Act clearly restrict any writing or inscription on the watermark window of currency notes, people still write or print on notes due to unawareness. India spends about 2000crores per year as loss to change the currency with new once and now Indians on their ‘Text Messages’ to make masses aware about it. As this notes can’t be used in standard transactions.

You might be thinking why I’m into this ill just say I’m doing the best I can spreading the message and awaking people to direct some onto the right path. In Varanasi a new trend of printing the name of bridegroom and bride on the watermark window of currency notes has begun and when some TOI reporters contacted the replies from bankers and police where the most interesting. They admitted it was illegal but din know the IPC to register the case. On the other hand, when the RBIs guidelines and Banking Regulation Act were checked it was found that writing on the watermark window of bank notes is punishable under Section 35A of the Banking Regulation Act 1949. In order to give the citizens good quality currency notes, the RBI had already prepared a Clean Note Policy and in November 2001 issued instructions to all the banks not only to do away the stapling of note packets but also urged members of public not to write on the currency notes.

The RBI surely has issued a comprehensible guideline in this view some years ago but still there are no takers of it. The bankers who were surprised to see the name of bride and groom printed on a currency note did not overlook to expose that they had seen currencies with political slogans and symbols of parties in past. But, they had nothing to say when asked what action was initiated in such matter. While a number of people are starting a new trend of utilizing the watermark window to remain memorable for long, the ordinary people are still forced to write their contact details on the same window of higher denomination notes by the telecom and other service providers at the time of bill clearance. This custom is followed to trace the origin of the note if it turns out fake.

Now even if a symbol for Indian Rupee would be recognized, but what aid would it give to Indian people who merely use it as a waste paper to write their rough work …..Indirectly damaging   the economies of India …do stop anyone who scribbles on notes .In this way you can help the economy and be a responsible citizen...act Smart....before its too late....

Being a Bmm’ite itself is a pleasure indeed....

Sands of time flies down the memory lane
holding forth a thousand stories of fun and fame
My travels take me on a life's journey
Through the wild mysterious Somaiya Lane

Strands of hair caressed by the breeze
Wave across the blooming campus
Geared with my golden past and a smile on my face
I ride on my memory as it make me low…

World flow past my eyes
Pretty, happy and sad sights
All part and parcel of the journey called life
That none can escape from after being a Bmm’ite

A little flower hit my chest from campus breeze
It could have been you but its only me…
It was life's plan for this flower to touch my heart today
And make me feel you are never far away

Splashes of water from the falls ....
Whispering a thousand stories it has seen by
Stories of many break off never ending it seems...
And carved the pain by presence in each drop of water, flowing on and off...

My ride takes me along paths …
A new path, a new road paved for me
Little do I know where this way will take me
I do know I am going to cherish and enjoy the journey truly...
Coz being a Bmm’ite itself is a pleasure indeed…….
That all One can say when you have few days left to go….

Estro – The Media Fest.

A new year with extra charged students more events more fun but same old enthusiasm & culture where every other person gets a fair chance to represent themselves. This was quite clear at S.K. Somaiya College of Arts, Science and Commerce annual cultural fest called ‘UTKARSH’, an umbrella event under which the college also celebrated the media fest called ‘ESTRO’.
ESTRO’- the media festival for two consecutive days on 23rd and 24th of December was yet again a much celebrated and successful event for the bmm’iets and college eventually. Once again it witnessed a smooth sequence of many flourishing events.  students from various colleges in Mumbai participated in various events like ad films, short films, documentaries, live reporting, and many more media related events that summed up to 12 such extravagant events. The events were judged by esteemed media personalities, to name a few were, Kunal deshmukh- one of the directors of Bhatt camp, director of recent bollywood flicks ‘Tum Mile’ and ‘Jannat’ fame, Chetan Pandit a well known actor who has worked in movies like-jail, a Wednesday, apharan and many more, Latesh shah – a well known media personality in advertising fraternity, and many more graced the event with their presence.
The event was not only a platform for students to showcase their talent but also is a dais to get noticed, as the event gives them the exposure to fell free and exhibit their talent for the world to see. As the event was for the well being of the aspiring media professionals, the entertainment for the same was also kept for the buzz to grow. The festival was filled with amazing fillers that kept everyone glued to their seats for the rest of the events. The fillers included two dance performances by two different groups and two different bands that gave live performances on songs of various genres.
A team of Bmm’ites headed by their own friends Praveen  k Jha, Naziya Khan & Rakesh, under the guidance of Dr. Sangita Kohli, the vice –principal and Bmm co-ordinator, Prof. Richa Chaudhary, and Mrs. Parvati , the in-charge principal, made ‘ESTRO’-  a distinguished media fest that was celebrated with panache and grandeur. All in all one can say ESTRO was a complete blend of education, exposure and celebration.

The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival galloped with audacity yet again

Catching up with old Indian tradition, muddling yourself amidst the colourful handicraft creations, connecting with the heart throbbing performances and feeling the beat of ethnic precinct is all that turns this 10 day Kala Ghoda Arts Festival into a giant manifestation of fine art. Extracting different art forms from across the cultures of India, it would then not be wrong to label it as a cultural trade fair.
This festival ushers your memory to hark-back to the era that reflect rich legacy of our culture.  Associated with one of the India’s leading business leaders Times Group, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival has all the credibility added up to its account.
This year too, it exceeded beyond the expectations of the people. The whole area was well utilized with abstract and astounding decor on every nook and corner of the expanse. The most opulent thing you would have noticed without fail would be the “Big traditional Bell” few feet away from the entrance. It rocked and rolled with the force of balmy breeze.
The area near the entrance had a stall on different colourful masks while the other side had an arrangement of blank CDs used as fixtures in the background. The event dais was located at the center of the area. The scheduled performances were appreciating. The eat out stalls out there, were serving sizzling fares to suit every taste buds along with freezing cold gelatos.
The stalls as usual were interactive and very creative. Some had handmade bags; some had accessories, while some had stationary items. You would have seen every type of handmade things. From things made out of elephant dung to things made out of waste papers, from paper craft to painting art, from embroidery to zardosi and from accessories to apparels, everything was entirely impeccable.
Not only Indians but, this festival greeted a lot of tourists also. Photography was an interesting piece of the festival for them. Each and every creative object was captured in their cameras to cherish it ahead in their lives. This is what takes our culture far away.
Kala Ghoda Arts Festival has always been an ultimate aboard for all the art lovers. And such festivals hook the art of rural India alive in our hearts.

Naziya a girl born with a golden heart!...

A girl with a golden heart, which is what I think she has as whom so ever she meet she shower the love of friendship and gives a serving hand if anyone is in need. At a glimpse one will find her as simple in dressing, some use of mascara and she is done for the day .she is positive, independent and hardworking, I never saw her down in our three years of bonding concerning any stuff of college or relations. Naziya is basically a girl of her word she does what she commits. I always saw the essence of my departed sister in her so this year she finally tied the knot of our affiliation and made us formally brother –sister; it was a proud moment for me.
The most important feature she carries forward with her is the sense of being a true Indian, she was born in a Muslim family on 28th September 1989. As everyone knows that even after the independence India is still not focus on the community and so the struggle goes on from birth. So during the years some of our classmate even had abused her on the issue relating to the community but what made me and others stranded was the reply reversed to them and so they never had an answer to her questions. As I visit her inhabitant now and then, I am really close to the family, she has Abu(Father),Ami(mother),Nana(grany) and Rabian(brother). Each one of them have high values of life, they are the follower of humanism they live by the fear of god. Naziya’s father is full of experience, worked in abroad so whenever he gets free time from his shop he shares his stories with me, aunty always advises me to eat healthy food so that i make good health i like her concern. Nana is the one who always gives a good idea of life and with some teaching and tips she is again busy sharing her knowledge to others. Rabian is our small brother who is always in cricket or in computer games. Yeah whenever I visited I had company of some or the other relative who visit them so this showed me that they are really socialite in their local area. Through the teaching of her family mates one can understand what the value of Islam is in true sense not what media and politicians are talking about. Educating a girl child with the push for communication study is what makes me proud to be one of their family member and they focus to make other aware too on such critical issues helping to bring a change.
The most vital fact about naziya is her crush on Irfan Pathan, I know cricket rulez India but I never knew that it could also have side effect on my little sister. As you know I never use to like cricket cause of my multitasking around the course of BMM always kept me busy from such viewing, so whenever she talked about cricket and stuff I thought to be waste of time. I had a clash on some or the other issue regarding projects as I never took most of the interest in doing such hard work rather me always doing the smart work. With a glittering smile on her face she was always there for the rescue but it made other in the groups to grumble but she tackled them for me.
The Rasika –Nazyia bound: we are at the end of our golden journey that was started three years ago, at the start we never knew what the future hold what will stay and what will not with so many ups and down. But still after BMM the lively friendship of Naziya and Rasika would stay alive I’m positive since I have seen them together at times of need. Rasika is one that naziya cannot live without after me of course.....hehhehe. Yeah I certainly forgot to tell u a fact that if you move violently from any of the two both are there to give you a bang so better watch out, after all they are girls so they giggle, gossip and like an Indian television drama of saas bahu serial they cry. The situation is hard to handle for a boy than too I manage with my pointing angry eyes; it is one tactic of mine that works all the time.
I and Naziya: we both cannot live without each other as we are mean to stay together; I don’t need to explain her about anything my eyes are enough to throw up the facts about me. Let it be good let it be bad she is always on my side. She can fight the world if I won’t she gets upset whenever some or the other stream bitched about me. Than to I manage to calm her and somehow i try to bring her focus back to work it is not so easy as it look so be careful next time before you speak about me anything awful because that will surely put you in deep trouble. Naziya is always surprised by me in one or the other ways as I always give her shock with my surprise visit. She very choosy sister she never like my bound with any girlfriend that I intend to propose ultimately it’s like this I’m single as my sister not allowing me to mingle. Purely in one word she is life to me.
Coming back to naziya personality she has what it take to be a future print journalist, it is just my perception not any judgement because today media houses are focusing on sensationalising the news on broadcast medium and so her family values, ethic and honesty in work that she follows will prevail in her work and would make her struggle for her identity. As her brother I would never want my sister to undergo any changes in any ways. As Naziya Khan is still Naziya Khan she need not have any ill effect of what other girls of her class are into. She is still innocent, lovable, kind, and cute personality in short a child, she is respected in every way of life.
So I just want from the media industry to absorb her as she is and not make what they want her to be as we don’t have passable amount of such people around us. So guys think twice.
Words are few can’t describe her coz her standards are new
Love u sis !!!!!!!

Being Human ....

A usual day of college when I initiate myself in nuisance; it was really an awful sunlight hours designed for me at college. It was not my day one can say effortlessly, but I anticipate that this sort of day by no means approach me in my college life yet again. It all started with a dreadful rise by the first light, I had an indication that today won’t be an easy day. Passed on by a chilly shower got geared up wearing formals as the day was patent for the visit to a news broadcast studio I initiated for my classmate.
During the class hours it was found to my dissatisfaction over a piece of writing in ‘Viewpoint’- A news journal by BMM’ites, so as classic Bmm’ite I busted into argument with Editor who I considered to be one of my superior mate. However it can be assumed with the intention of new beginning or a dreadful end that every good thing must come to an end, so did our friendship which has been washed away in the midst of his cry. The tears made me feel of ruthless behavior I have acquired during the stay in Mumbai , although I can’t be called on the wrong side of the law as my argument was not incurable and just the words where mistaken. The whole issue came to closing stages in the company of two girls delightful by means of their cheap talking over the entire phase by very last seat without understanding the issue highlighting only the half story.
At last we departed for the news Broadcast Studio some of our classmate did not join us over, but they were quite a few so each one was focusing over the innovative features of media they were gone become aware off. The Team was headed by the senior producer of the news channel who guided us with the innovative and revolutionized media industry concerning the media houses with that of our course. We Visited and were briefed about each department specifically, Coming to my surprise was the live session inside the News Room with the anchor; it was really a special moment for all of us. At last we sat in the conference room and discussed our doubts with our faculty and the producer. We are really thankful of everyone in the News house who helped us around.
After the visit while I returned to the college to brief our ma’am regarding the visit and concerning other stuff around the college. I was taken aback by hearing that one of our non- teaching staff has grumble that I was asking snaps of the seminar that has recently taken place. So with a sense of anger, with the aim of clearing his doubt that, he has misunderstood me yet again went straight to him and discussed honestly over the subject. Instead of solving my dilemma the staff took it in wrong sense and busted into quarrel, ultimately I found myself in trouble begging helplessly for an apologetic letter, if it was not so I would have been in profound trouble. This is where I felt that working for my college this many year’s was in worthless and a fatal decision, so now I decide to quit myself from being a self-important student of the college. I would prefer to be human being instead being the student of a bureaucratic college.
I had even worst to get through it was an accident that took place during our fest with a band. One of a band member came over the dispute and was a nuisance to handle with but our college staff managed him .however it was found that I was innocent and he was just trying to earn money from the accident. I was shocked by seeing some of our college students were trying to frame me for the stuff I certainly not did. Finally it was resolute that if any one troubled me in future over the matter I’ll fetch to legal aid. The series of episode in one day made me imagine that it’s not so simple to being human in our recent society.
At last I reached my habitat had a fine chat with my parents concerning the issues I faced the day and ultimately with lot of struggle went to sleep with an advice that each day is not similar.
Yet I presume I went all the way through, in just a span of one day brought a lot of change in myself and changed my perception of being human.

Golden Journey of My Life!!

The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today.”- This famous quote by H.Jackson describes the qualities I posses to be the best student of the year. I have done my best today hence I am confidence of being the best tomorrow too. I am just like my friends simple, naughty, wants to have fun but stands me out is my confidence in myself, confidence that I can do it.
When I entered my first year classroom for the first time, like others I was also confused, trying to make friends, wanted to know many things, & even trying to learn the fast pace life of this never sleeping city. However, I still knew that I will make it happen & will stand out from the crowd. Till date I have being an average student when it comes to studies. However I mark my stand when it comes to extra curricular activities. I started has an Cultural Head of FYBMM (2007-08) & today I am the Joint Secretary of the annual Somaiya College fest UTKARSH. I have also done volunteer ship in many events like Golden Jubilee year celebration of Somaiya Trust, International Symposium 2009, Sambharna & many such events. I have also being member of many organizing teams.
I am interested more in production, direction,etc.. My talent was recognized at various college fests. For instance I stood first in Mock stock in Enigma 2007 (Podar fest), I won first prize for mini film Once More in Estro 2009 (Somaiya fest). I also had the privilege of doing my internship in IBN7 in the editorial department.
I am in BMM because this where I belong, this is what interests me. I am thankful to Mumbai University for starting this course & giving platform to students like me to explore them. Hence it’s my duty but more than duty I feel it’s my own selfish way of getting to learn more things, I organized talk shows for my friends, made many short films & documentaries. This college has helped to bring out the best in me with help of faculty members, projects, extra curricular activities, etc etc... I have learnt here to adjust with all kind of people, learnt the importance of team work & most of all came to know what I am. I just want to say that every one of us id best in their own sense but still I am better than rest of the people. I know I have shaped myself in a way that will be the best for me & for people around me. Yes I am the best!
